Dating someone who is legally blind

You see, I had just recently applied the crazy glue and duct tape. But only recently decided to even think about having my heart exposed even a little. It just meant I was open to the idea of meeting someone new.
But I'm still looking for a great guy who will take me for who I am, not what I am.
That being said, as someone who has moved from sighted into legal blindness, I've noticed certain interesting changes in my lifestyle and how people treat me.
This isn't a subject that can be explained briefly, so please forgive me in advance for my lengthiness.
